Day Two in New York

On Day Two, we spent the morning touring Liberty Island and Ellis Island. The Statue of Liberty was quite impressive! I enjoyed the exhibit at Ellis Island and was intrigued by all the personal stories of the time.






We spent the afternoon in Little Italy! My dad enjoyed strolling the streets with a cigar and we ate plenty of delicious Italian food. In honor of Nana Florence, Rick and I shared her favorite New York Italian pastry, a sfogilatella! Yum!

That night, Rick and Dad went to a Yankees game while Mom and I took in a broadway show, South Pacific. We even attempted the subway which I learned I do not like!
